Burley of the Highest Quality
If you're a smoker of Burley blends, this is your huckleberry. Made from three kinds of Burley and nothing else, this stuff really hits the mark. The strips can eaily be rubbed out for a faster burn or folded for a slower burn. Either way, the flavor is pure Burley and no significant bite capability. No bitterness or rancid flavor that is common with some Burley blends. Burns clean to a white ash. A bit too pricey to be my all day smoke, but when I do smoke it I savor every puff. |

a tasty surprise A tasty surprise. A flake full and compact, but flexible and with a perfect degree of humidity. This "Aged Burley Flake" is yet another proof, if anyone still harbored any doubts, the absolute genius of R. Will, as a blender that I have already said on other occasions, in my opinion is second to none in terms of sensitivity and balance. A tobacco which is the quintessence of the "naturalness", composed of only the highest quality Burley prized white, sweet all-American ", but also Brazilians and Africans (Malawi) aged and aged up to 20 years, plus grafting Kentucky to raise a body already state of the art. Upon opening the can, we are struck by a fragrant flavor of nuts, spices they find away to tobacco on how to fully respect the promises; the ignition is smooth, gradual and slow burning, the smoke that it yields is extraordinarily fresh and dense, smooth and soft from the start, with a "smokyness" that grows gradually in the evolution of smoke enticed never be too heavy, although the strength to spring forth from the first puffs reminding us that we are facing a male tobacco , rugged and uncompromising, a tobacco that may not be happy if you are not fans of the genre, or perhaps be a bit 'monotonous, but believe me, never boring, as can produce a myriad of flavors and nuances so many and such as to almost forget that it faces a "full Burley" in no way, however, never makes us feel the absence of other, not even the best Virginia. Before the smoke flavors dominated by stones and earth, hay and ripe wet grass, with a slightly sweet and toasted that comes to us from the start thanks to Kentucky which manifests itself in constant progress, as well as the nicotinic load, leaving nearly napping to increase gradually. The central part of the stove more surprises in store for us for a tobacco that we are generally accustomed to appreciate more as a "supporting actor" rather than as the protagonist here is so fruity aromas of dried apricots, chestnuts, dark chocolate and leather, with an atmosphere more and more "dark" and with a depth of flavor that suggests that this "Aged Burley Flake" you could almost spend even a pipe, sure to become the best reciprocated. The last third is then an apotheosis, delicious note "smokey" progressing until the end intertwined with scents of freshly brewed coffee and a light but spicy avvertibilissima that is nothing but a natural release of natural tobacco. The sweetness always present, it is never too high, the aftertaste is clean and dry. Absolute perfection. Solana Aged Burley Flake, "surely redefines all previous standards of the genre. |

Perfect Burley
This is what I would consider to be the perfect Burley blend. I enjoy MacBaren's London Blend and Golden Blend; both are nice in their own ways, though I know many complain about the famous MacBite (I'm a filter smoker; I have never experienced the bite...). Combining the quality burley as in this blend with a chocolate/cocoa casing, IMHO, is pure genius. The tin note promises nothing that will not be delivered by the smoke. |
