Good Black Cavendish
I originally bought this blend for all the wrong reasons. I had read the description, but somehow had not noted that it is a plain BC. So I got the tin in the mail, opened it, and was disappointed.
Now, I am normally a filter smoker. A straight BC is not going to thrill me: too little strength, too little room note, and not very easy to maintain.
With this one, after trying it straight and being disappointed a few times, I went back to my Falcons... and hey, this stuff actually makes some sense. Very sweet, very mild, but also with a good, sweet-peppery taste when smoked unfiltered.
For those who want Nicotine, it's still not much of a choice; there is little to none in there. But for a plain BC, I must say this is the best I have ever tried. I have experimented with this blend as a mix-in for the likes of DTM Patriot Flake and Mac Baren London Blend; in both cases, it makes the smoke noticeably cooler and slower, so it might be worth a try to mix Black Virginia with other blends. By its own, I find it not to be all that bad, but I would not want to shell out the money for another tin.
