A Decent Latakia Blend

This tin is from 2005 and has the old artwork on it.

The tin aroma is a nice sweet and smoky smell that gives a tiny bit of a tang in the nose. The moisture level is on the wet side and some drying time is recommended.

At the start of the smoke, the flavor was smoky with quite a bit of sweetness to it. The flavor and aroma of the Latakia is light. The flavors are married and intermingle. This may have to do with the age of the tobacco. There is also a slight bitterness. The flavor profile was exactly the same from start to finish.

This is a decent smoke. It smoked cool, dry, and didn't bite. It is on the lighter side of Latakia blends. I Recommend it.

Nice Mellow Blend

I tried this blend a while ago, and admit I enjoy it. While the Latakia favor is mild, the flavor is robust. It smokes cool and dry, and has an enjoyable sweetness. Although I normally prefer a heavier Latakia taste, this blend has become one of my main staples.

I highly recommend it.

First English

This was my first venture into the world of English blends. The first few bowls were ok, but after that it kept doing a number on my stomach every time I smoked it. So for now I've put it off to the side. For an intro to English blends I should have gone with EMP instead.
