Tastes like its name
Wilderness tobacco is a great tasting smoke. It has a nutty campfire taste that reminds me of the great outdoors I love so much. It is a little moist so its best to set some out an hour before smoking. It starts to pick up more flavor after you smoke a quarter bowl. With nice slow draws I get no bite with only a few relights. |

No nonsense tobacco This blend is a no nonsense, "I smoke a pipe cause I can" tobacco. It is a rich earthy rugged blend that has no "frills". A 'man's man tobacco if you will. Slightly 'edgy'. It's all business. As its' name implies, it conjures up the feeling of being in the wilderness doing something like chopping wood at your lakeside cabin. I wouldn't call it full bodied but it's got some 'umph' to it. I didn't particularly feel the 'creaminess' but it felt good on the tongue. No bite for me. The latakia makes it's presence known in a good way. Love the red virginias but I din't really pickup on the orientals that much. Certainly not as much as Meridian...which makes me think that this is the less 'sophisticated' version of Meridian but by all means, a good smoke. |

Another blend for my regular rotation
I am just now smoking my first tin of this wonderful blend. I am a regular smoker of Legends, so I thought I would also try this blend. I am glad that I did. I find this to be a very satisfactory and enjoyable blend. It lights well, burns well, and produces no harshness or bite. All in all, a great blend for my Latakia loving taste buds. I will add some tins to my cellar and make this part of my regular rotation of blends. |

A Superb Blend
This truly unique and excellent blend, featuring a delicate and complex balance of Syrian and Cypriot Latakia, and should satisfy both lovers of the dark leaf and those just dabbling in it’s exotic mysteries. The supporting cast of Orientals and Red Virginias provide a wonderful, subtle and sweet complexity that is not to be missed. This blend has rapidly shot up to the forefront of my rotation, indeed becoming as close to an "all day smoke" as I’ve come across. Don’t let the complexity of this blend scare you off; while the flavour profile is by no means monotone, this blend is perfect for all day smoking, and won’t leave your palate fatigued. If you’re looking for a sweet Latakia blend with deep and subtle nuances, look no further! |
