Brand: Mac Baren
Tin Description: As the name suggests, Black Ambrosia contains a very high proportion of Modern Mac Baren Cavendish, with only a little loose cut light Virginia added. This blend consists solely of Virginia tobaccos, which is rather rare as the majority of blends contain a little Burley tobacco. But not Black Ambrosia, which is made of 100% Virginia tobacco - and yet the taste is still exquisite. As the last person to add to the taste, the tobacco master has been no less genial. Of course, the precise composition of the tobacco is a secret, but here is a hint: to complete the Modern Mac Baren Cavendish, the tobacco master has carefully added a blend of different fruit oils, and topping the finished blend is a touch of...? Taste it for yourself and discover what an extraordinary taste experience it offers. With a little prudence, Black Ambrosia could almost be described as: Food for the soul and the tobacco lover.

Good Blend

I haven't made it through the whole tin yet, but this isn't a bad blend. A nice light citrusy flavouring on a Va and Va/Cavendish. Good blend every now and again, but don't see it as a regluar in the rotation.

Unconventional 1 Star Cavendish

I always thought the more time is dedicated by the blenders to find elegant words to decribe a blend on the tin/pouch/site, the less that tobacco will shine.

They said talk is cheap friends...
....Black Ambrosia here, is the case.

A straight cavendish, VA cavendish, blend that promise so much more than It can really give. I had a pouch of this as a gift from a friend and I never got to finish it.

Classic citrus-liquorice cavendish, showing a not well rounded acid taste that becomes somehow bitter throughout the bowl. I would expect it if it clearly included some burley in it but it doesn't.

Anyway, the description talks about distinction of being a straight VA cavendish, noble choice for a modern cavendish...I am not a burley craver but I wish this blend contained some, just to round it a little and keep down its acidness.

Not really recommended. Reminds me of Amphora Black Special Cavendish and that doesn't add as a bonus.
