7 Puddles I hate for my first review here to be a negative one, but I just cannot find anything positive to say about this blend. I found this Sea to be more of a murky puddle :-) I received a small pouch sample along with a tobacco order so I certainly can't complain about the price. I found this tobacco to be akin to smoking damp cardboard with no real taste. It burns well and cool, but on the 4 occasions I have tried this I have dumped the bowl as for me there was no enjoyment or flavour derived from this. For an aro I will stick to Boswells or Petersons. Unfortunately this was not for me and will my first baccie to be binned. |

7 Seas Royal Blend
If you are smoking like me, minimum 7/8 bowls per day and searching a tobacco which is smelling good and not biting your tongue, then you must smoke this tobacco. I dont understand the people who are blaming this tobacco as a disaster, if you like non-aromatic even don't try this and dont blame, that's all. |

Did Captain Black sail the 7 Seas??
I think this tobacco is very similar to Captain Black White Label. That is a compliment since I like CBW. I really enjoyed the aroma from the tin. The tobacco was a bit moist but went right into the bowl without drying. It lit nicely and I only relit once. Didn't notice any tongue bite and the aroma was exactly what I was lookign for, pleasant and satisfying. I would highly recommend this tobacco for someone wanting a nice, mellow aromatic. |

Great new MacBaren aromatix Just receieved my 100 grams tin today. Opened the tin and wow - what a wonderful aroma. Caramel and brown sugar for sure. Unlike what other fellow pipe friends are saying I did not find this blend the same as Captain Black royal. It is certainly a Mac Baren aromatic, similar IMHO to vanilla cream loose cut. Does not have the loose cut plugs though. Moisture contents for me was alright. The blend is beautiful to see... Golden and black leaves meld together. Packs nicely on one of my adorable Vauen's. Lights easily. Room note is pretty decent. Nicotine contents is medium, not light like others perceived. Taste is good, sweet, did not burn very hot for me, blue velvety smoke, by mid to end of bowl some smokiness perceived, of course I am not talking latakia here...but a decent tobacco flavour. Liked it very much. A decent aromatic for sure. |
