Another Great Hearth & Home Blend

The pouch aroma has that lovely sweet and tart smell that accompanies a lot of VA/PER blends. I love this smell. The moisture content is perfect for smoking without any drying time. The tobacco is a little chunky and I rubbed it out a little.

It is very nice with some sweetness, but I haven’t really picked up on much of the Perique. Maybe they used just a small enough amount of it to keep the blend from biting because this blend is not biting me at all. I even pushed it a bit and still no bite.

Around the last 1/4 of the bowl, I started to pick up on a very slight amount of pepperiness from the Perique. There was not a lot of it, but it was noticeable. It has a nice sweet finish.

This is another really good blend from Russ Ouellette and Pipesandcigars.com. It is very light on the Perique and is almost a straight Virginia, in my opinion. If you like a VA/PER that is light on Perique, you should love this blend. Even if you like Perique, I think you will still love this blend. I will definitely be smoking more of it.

Very Nice VA/PER

This is the first Hearth  & Home tobacco blend I have ever bought. I like VA/PERS so I thought I would give LJ Heart Virginia a try. I have to say that I am glad that I did since this is one good VA/PER.

I thought that this blend was just the right moisture content right out of the tin. However, those liking their tobacco on the dry side may want to give this blend a hour or two to dry out a little.

At first light after the charring light this VA/Per emits a sweet Virginia taste. For me after a minute or two the Perque began to peek through the  smoke with a slight sour note and you  knew that this blend was just not a good Virginia. Half ways though the smoke the sweet Virginia taste was still predominant with the Perique still present. At the bottom third of the bowl the sweet Virginias still linger as does the Perique.

This tobacco was a very good experience for me and I have smoked several top VA/PERS in the past. This blend ranks among the top VA/PERS on  my personal list. I would classify this blend as being on the sweet side with burning quality as better than most and room note is very good as the sweetness fills the air.

The nicotine level is moderate which suits me fine as I find some VA/PERS high in nicotine.

This definitely a VA/PER that you should give a nod to since it satisfies all of my criteria for a delectable smoke.
