Tin Description: A blended, sliced cake of high-grade flue cured leaf, from beautiful, sweet brights to deep, earthy reds, without the added sugars and flavourings common to many Virginia flakes. It's rich on the palate, evolving in layers with the clean, natural sweetness of pure tobaccos. It offers a pleasant room note, and a delightful finish. For those seeking the pure Virginia experience, try Union Square.

A Very Good Virginia Blend

This tobacco had around 1 year of age on it when reviewed.

The tin aroma of this blend is a straight forward, lightly tangy tobacco smell with a hint if hay. The moisture content was good for smoking right away, but some may prefer to dry it a little. I rubbed out a few of the broken flakes and loaded my pipe.

From the beginning there is a nice tobacco flavor with a very light hint of sweetness. The sweetness in this blend is not as pronounced as in most other Virginia blends.
Around mid-bowl it started picking up some in the strength department and I started picking up on a very light spiciness. This flavor profile lasted through to the end of the bowl.

This is a very good blend that is tasty. It smoked cool and dry. It will bite if pushed to hard, so make sure that you smoke this blend slowly. I Highly Recommend it!
